BRK Fan

ON - The Brake Fans run provided main landing gear is downlocked.
OFF - Brake Fans stop.
HOT - Illuminates AMBER associated with ECAM caution when one Brake temperature exceeds 300° C.

A / SKID & N / W STRG Switch
Activates or deactivates the Nose Wheel Steering and Anti-Skid.

ON
- If green hydraulicpressure is available:
  - Anti-skid is available.
  - Nosewheel steering is available.
- If green hydraulic pressure is lost:
  - Yellow hydraulic pressure takes over automatically to supply the brakes.
  - Antiskid remains available.
  - Nosewheel steering is lost.
OFF
- Yellow hydraulic pressure supplies the brakes.
- Brake pressure must be limited by referring to the triple indicator to avoid wheel locking.
- Differential braking remains available via the pedals.
- Anti-skid is deactivated.
- Nosewheel steering is lost.

AUTO / BRK Switches
Arm the required deceleration rate. The ON light illuminates blue to indicate positive arming. The DECEL light illuminates green when actual airplane deceleration corresponds to 80% of the selected rate.

LO - Selected for landing. If the deceleration rate from reverse thrust is not adequate, progressive pressure is applied to the brakes four seconds after ground spoiler deployment to provide a fixed deceleration rate.
MED - Selected for landing. If the deceleration rate from reverse thrust is not adequate, progressive pressure is applied to the brakes two seconds after ground spoiler deployment to provide a fixed deceleration rate.
MAX - Selected for takeoff. During an aborted takeoff, maximum brake pressure is applied when ground spoilier deployment occurs.

LDG Gear Lights
Display proximity detector information received from LGCIU 1. The LDG GEAR indicator panel does not illuminate when LGCIU 1 is not electrically powered.

UNLK - Illuminate RED if the gear is not locked in the selected position.
Lights - Illuminate GREEN if the gear is locked down.
