Altitude Window
Displays Altitude selected with the altitude knob. The window never displays dashes, even when VNAV is engaged.
Altitude Knob
Changes the altitude displayed in the ALT window.

The inner knob rotates to change the altitude value.
ALT Switch
Commands an immediate level off.
A/THR Switch
Arms or deactivates autothrottle system. Illuminates Green if the autothrottle is armed or engaged.
V/S / FPA Window
Displays the Vertical Speed or Flight Path angle selected using the Vertical Speed / Flight Path angle knob. The applicable mode is controlled with the HDG-V/S TRK-FPA switch.
LOC Button
Arms, engages, or disengages the LOC mode.
HDG V / S-TRK FPA Button
When pushed, changes between heading / vertical speed and track / flight path angle display modes.
Managed Control Light
Illuminates to indicate an FMGS managed speed is being flown.
Heading / Track Window
Displays dashes when LNAV is engaged.
LVL / CH Light
Illuminates to indicate managed vertical mode is either armed or engaged.
SPD / MACH Window
Displays dashes when the speed / Mach is managed. Displays selected speed from the FCU or preselected speed from the MCDU.
LAT Light
Illuminates to indicate managed lateral mode is either armed or engaged.
Heading / Track Knob
When rotated, display range between 0° and 359°.

One turn corresponds to 30° ( 1° per click ).
SPD / MACH Button
When pushed, changes the value in the SPD / MACH window from airspeed to Mach, and vice-versa.
AP Switches
Engages / Disengage selected autopilot. Illuminate Green when the autopilot is engaged.
Speed / MACH Knob
When rotated, display range: between 100 and 399 kt for speed, between 0.01 and 0.99 for Mach number.

One turn corresponds approximately to 30 kt or 0.3 Mach.
Display Mode
Indicates either HDG V/S or TRK FPA display mode.
Vertical Speed / Flight Path Angle Knob
When rotated, selects the Vertical Speed or Flight Path angle displayed in the V/S / FPA window.

When the knob is pulled, Vertical Speed engages.

When the knob is pushed, the airplane immediately levels off.
Metric ALT Switch
When pushed, displays the FCU selected altitude target in meters on the PFD and in the permanent data field on the lower ECAM.
APPR Switch
Arms, engages or disengages Approach Modes ( LOC - G/S or APPR NAV-FINAL ).
Sliding Potentiometer
Sliding Potentiometer for glareshield integral lighting and LED on FCU lighting adjustment.
