RAM Air ( Guarded )

• ON: Illuminates White. RAM Air inlet opens.
• OFF: RAM Air inlet closes and the outflow valves return to normal position.

Pack Flow SEL
Permits Selection of Pack Flow according to number of passengers and ambient conditions.

Zone Temperature SEL

• 12 O'clock: 24°C ( 76°F ).
• COLD: 18°C ( 64°F ).
• HOT: 30°C ( 86°F ).

X-Bleed

• Auto: X-Bleed valve is Open if APU Bleed valve is Open.
• Open: X-Bleed valve is Open.
• Close: X-Bleed valve is Closed.

Wing Anti-Ice
Controls Wing Anti-Ice system simultaneously on left and right side.

• ON: Wing Anti-Ice valve Open.
• OFF: Wing Anti-Ice valves Close.
• Fault Light: Illuminates Amber with ECAM activation.

ENG Anti-Ice 1, 2, 3, 4

• ON: Engine Anti-Ice valve Opens.
• OFF: Engine Anti-Ice valve closes.
• Fault Light: Illuminates Amber, with ECAM caution, if Anti-Ice valve position disagrees with ENG pushbutton selection.

Probes / Window Heat

• Auto: Probes / Windows are Heated Automatically.
• ON Light: Illuminates >Blue. Probes / Windows are heated.

Valve SEL ( Guarded )

• AFT: The AFT outflow valve can be manually controlled.
• Both: Both outflow valves can be manually controlled.
• FWD: FWD outflow valve can be manually controlled.

V/S CTL
The switch is spring loaded to neutral, controls the position of the outflow valve(s) selected through the Valve SEL.

• UP: The valve(s) move towards open position.
• DN: The valve(s) move towards closed position.

Mode SEL

• Auto: Automatic Mode is operating.
• MAN: Illuminates White. Fault Light extinguishes, Manual control is then operative by the MAN V/S CLT switch.
• Fault Light: Comes on Amber, associated with ECAM caution, when both automatic systems are faulty.

LDG ELEV Auto

• Auto ( to leave Auto position pull and turn ): The Pressurization system uses the FMGS Landing field Elevation to construct an optimized descent pressure schedule.
• Other Position: The Landing Elevation from FMGS is not used by the Pressurization system. The selected Landing Elevation ( from - 2000 to 14000 ft )is taken as reference.

Ditching ( Guarded )

• Normal: Normal system operation.
• ON: Operating system sends a closure signal to the outflow valves, emergency ram air inlet, avionics ventilation overboard valve, cargo compartment isolation valves and pack flow control valves. Illuminates White.

APU Bleed

• ON: APU valve opens.
• OFF: APU valves closes.
• Fault Light: Illuminates Amber, associated with ECAM caution, when APU leak is detected.

Engine Bleed ( 1, 2, 3, 4 )

• ON: Bleed Valve Opens.
• OFF: Bleed valve and HP valve Close. OFF light illuminates White.
• Fault Light: Illuminates Amber, associated with ECAM caution.

Hot Air 1, 2

• ON: Valve regulates Hot Air pressure.
• OFF: Valve closes and Fault circuit reset.
• Fault Light: Illuminates Amber with ECAM caution, when duct overheat is detected.

Pack 1 / 2

• ON: Pack flow control valves open.
• OFF: Pack flow control valve close.
• Fault Light: Illuminates Amber, associated with ECAM caution, when Pack flow control valve position disagrees with selected position or in case of compressor outlet temperature above 260°C or pack outlet temperature above 95°C.
