The Landing Gear consists of four main gear trucks, consisting of two body gear and two wing gear, each with four wheels and a nose gear with two wheels. Hydraulic power for normal Landing Gear operation is supplied by two independent sources, system 1 for the nose and body gear and system 4 for the wing gear.

ALTN Gear Extend Nose/Body, Wing Switches

ALTN - Electrically releases door and gear uplocks on the associated gear, allowing the gear to free fall into the down and locked position.

Lock OVRD Switch
Releases landing gear lever lock if solenoid fails to release lock after liftoff.

Landing Gear Lever

UP - Retracts Landing Gear.
OFF - Shuts off Hydraulic pressure to the landing gear.
DN - Extends the landing gear. Releases gear door uplatches and pressurizes down Hydraulic lines.

ALTN Flaps ARM Switch
ALTN - Arms the flap electric drive system.

Arms the ALTN FLAPS selector.
Shuts off Hydraulic power to the trailing edge flaps drive.
Shuts off pneumatic air to the leading edge flap drive.
Flap handle is inoperative.
Asymmetry protection not available.
Flap load relief not available.

ALTN Flap Selector

OFF - Stops alternate flap operation.
RET - Retracts the trailing and leading edge Flap.
EXT - Extends the trailing and leading edge flaps. Maximum extension of the trailing edge flaps is position 25.
