Smoke Light
Indicates Smoke has been detected in the forward equipment cooling system.
Overheat Light
In addition to indicating Overheat in the forward equipment cooling system, it also goes OFF when EQUIP Cooling selector is
positioned to STBY, and is inhibited for five minutes.
Valve Light
Indicates that one or more forward equipment cooling supply and exhaust Valves are not in the proper
positions after engines are started. Airplane may not pressurize after takeoff with light ON.
EQUIP Cooling Selector
- REFRIG - The Refrigeration mode is deactivated.
- AUTO - Allows equipment cooling system to operate in the Automatic mode.
- STBY - Selects the Standby mode for equipment cooling Commands all internal valves open, all external valves closed,
and selects the other supply fan to operate.
- OVRD - Configures the equipment cooling system to exhaust air Overboard to clear smoke. Using conditioned air to cool
the Instrument panels and cockpit exhaust air to clear the smoke from the avionics equipment.
NO Cooling
Indicates NO Cooling airflow in the equipment cooling system. Armed only when selector is in OVRD.
