Valve Lights
Indicate the respective start valve position disagrees with the position called for by the associated start selector.
Ignition Selector
Selects 1, 2, or both Ignition systems to operate when the engine start selectors are in the GND, AUTO or CONT positions and
the fuel control switches are out of CUTOFF.
Engine Start Selector
- GND
- Opens the associated start valve.
- Closes the associated bleed valve.
- Opens the APU bleed valve.
- Inc APU compressor output .
- Initiates starter load shed if APU providing Electric and pneumatic power.
- Arms selected ignition system for the associated engine.
- Arms the associated 50% N2 cutout solenoid.
- AUTO
- Closes the start valve.
- Allows the bleed valve to open if bleed air pressure is available.
- Terminates ignition for the associated engine, except when slats are extended or engine anti-ice is on, in which case AUTO causes
selected ignition system for the associated engine to operate continuously with associated fuel control switch in RUN.
- OFF
- Closes the start valve.
- Allows the bleed valve to open if bleed air pressure is available.
- Terminates ignition for the associated engine.
- CONT - Causes selected ignition system for the associated Engine to operate continuously with associated fuel control switch in RUN.
- FLT - Bypasses the ignition selector and causes both Ignition systems to operate continuously with associated fuel control switch in RUN.
Ram Air Turbine
- Switch - Deploys RAT when pushed and held for at least two seconds.
- PRESS Light - Indicates RAT is supplying satisfactory Pressure to the center hydraulic system.
- UNLKD Light - Indicates RAT is not Locked in the retracted position.
