The Fuel Jettison System allows jettison from all fuel tanks. Fuel is jettisoned through jettison nozzle valves inboard of each aileron. Jettison pumps in the main tanks and Override / Jettison pumps in the center tank pump fuel overboard through the jettison nozzle valves. The nozzles cannot open on the ground.

Left/Right Fuel Jettison Nozzle Switches
When ON is not visible, the jettison nozzle valve is selected closed

ON - When selected in flight:
- Opens the jettison nozzle valve.
- Opens both center tank jettison isolation valves.
- With jettison system armed, turns on both main tank jettison pumps.
Valve Light - Indicate the jettison nozzle valve is not in the commanded position.

Fuel To Remain Selector

Pull ON - Changes the mode from Maximum Landing Weight (MLW) to Manual (MAN).
- Rotation increases or decreases TO REMAIN quantity.
- First detent increases or decreases TO REMAIN value at a slow rate. The second detent increases or decreases value at a faster rate.
Push IN - Automatically selects the MLW TO REMAIN quantity

Fuel Jettison ARM Switch and Fault Light

When ARMED is not visible, the jettison system is disarmed.

ARMED - TO REMAIN quantity:
- Automatically set for MLW.
- replaces fuel temperature on EICAS.
- Appears on the fuel synoptic.
- Jettison time is displayed in minutes on the fuel synoptic.
FAULT Light - Indicates a system fault has occurred.

Left/Right, FWD/AFT Pump Switches and Press Light

FWD/AFT Crossfeed Valve Switches and Press Light

Left/Right Center Pump Switches and Press Light

ON - Fuel pump is selected on. When pump is selected off, ON is not visible.
PRESS Light - Indicate pump output pressure is low. Center pump PRESS lights are inhibited when center tank pump switches are off.
