The Passenger Cabin Signs operate automatically or can be manually controlled by selectors on the Overhead Panel. The FASTEN SEAT BELTS signs come on automatically when AUTO is selected and any of the following conditions exist:

• Landing Gear not up and locked
• Flap lever not up
• Airplane's Altitude below 10,300 feet
• Cabin altitude above 10,000 feet
• Passenger oxygen ON

The NO SMOKING signs come on automatically when AUTO is selected and any of the following conditions exist:

• Landing Gear not up and locked
• Cabin altitude above 10,000 feet
• Passenger oxygen on

For Flight Deck Lighting, flood Lights and light plates provide panel illumination. Dome lights provide Flight Deck area lighting. Maps lights and utility lights provide localized illumination.
