The 777 airplane has three independent Hydraulic Systems: left, right and center. The Hydraulic System power: Flight Controls Landing Gear Leading edge slats Nose and main wheel steering Thrust reversers Trailing edge flaps Wheel Bakes Flight control system components are distributed so that any one Hydraulic Sysytem can provide adequate airplane controllability. A Ram Air Turbine (RAT) provides backup Hydraulic pressure for some flight controls.

Ram Air Turbine Switch

Ram Air Switch (RAT) - Deploys the RAT.
PRESS Light - Indicates the RAT is deployed and center system flight control hydraulic pressure is normal.
UNLKD Light - Indicates RAT is not in the stowed position.

Left/Right Primary ENG Pump Switches

ON - Engine drive pump can pressurize the respective hydraulic system.
Off - When pump is selected off, ON is not visible.

C1/C2 Primary ELECT Pump Switches

ON - Electric hydraulic pump can pressurize the center hydraulic system.
Off - When pump is selected off, ON is not visible.
Fault Light - Indicates one of the following:
- Low primary pump pressure
- Excessive primary pump fluid temperature
- Pump is selected off

C1/C2 ELECT/Air Demand Pump Selectors

OFF - Pump is off and cannot operate automatically.
AUTO - Pump operates when primary pump pressure is low or when system logic anticipates high demand. (Right demand pump runs continuously on the ground).
ON - Pump runs continuously.
Fault - Indicates one of the following:
- Low demand pump output pressure
- Excessive demand pump fluid temperature
- Pump is selected off
