The Audio Control Panel is used to manage the Radio, SATCOM and Interphone Communication
System. Microphones are keyed by pushing the desired Audio Control Panel transmitter select switch and using the MIC (microphone) position
of a control wheel or audio control panel microphone/interphone switch, the Glareshield MIC Switch, or the hand microphone push-to-talk
switch. Systems are monitored using headphones or speakers. The oxygen mask microphones are enabled when oxygen mask stowage doors
open.

Very High Frequency ( VHF ) Switch
- Transmitter Select Switch - When pushed:
- MIC light comes on.
- MIC light for any other transmitter is turned off.
- Selects the respective transmitter for transmission from this crew station.
- Selects the receiver audio on, if not already manually selected on.
- Receiver Light - Comes on when the respective receiver audio is manually selected ON.
- Receiver Volume Control - When pushed, the respective receiver audio turns ON. When rotated, it
controls the receiver's volume.
Flight Interphone Switches
The Flight Interphone System provides communications on the flight deck and between the flight deck and the ground crew through the flight
interphone jack in the nose landing gear wheel well.
- Transmitter Select Switch - When pushed:
- MIC light comes on.
- MIC light for any other transmitter is turned off.
- Selects the respective transmitter for transmission from this crew station.
- Selects the receiver audio on, if not already manually selected on.
- Receiver Light - Comes on when the respective receiver audio is manually selected ON.>
- >Receiver Volume Control - When pushed, the respective receiver audio turns ON. When rotated, it controls the receiver's volume.
Cabin Interphone Switches
The Cabin Interphone System provides voice communications between the flight deck and the flight attendant station. The Cabin Interphone,
call queue, speed dial numbers and directories are accessed from the center CDU Cabin Interphone menu. Normally the center CDU is used for
Cabin Interphone system functions. Pushing the Audio Control Panel CAB transmitter select switch twice within one second places a priority
call to an airline-designated call location. From top to bottom the switches are:
- Transmitter Select Switch - When pushed:
- MIC light comes on.
- MIC light for any other transmitter is turned off.
- Selects the respective transmitter for transmission from this crew station.
- Selects the receiver audio on, if not already manually selected on.
- Receiver Light - Comes on when the respective receiver audio is manually selected ON.
- Receiver Volume Control - When pushed, the respective receiver audio turns ON. When rotated, it
controls the receiver's volume.
Passenger Address Switches
Pushing a PA transmitter select switch on an Audio Control Panel provides direct access to all PA areas.
- Transmitter Select Switch - When pushed:
- MIC light comes on.
- MIC light for any other transmitter is turned off.
- Selects the respective transmitter for transmission from this crew station.
- Selects the receiver audio on, if not already manually selected on.
- Receiver Light - Comes on when the respective receiver audio is manually selected ON.
- Receiver Volume Control - When pushed, the respective receiver audio turns ON. When rotated, it controls the receiver's volume.
Microphone ( MIC ) / Interphone (INT) Switch
- MIC Position - Keys the boom or oxygen mask microphone on the selected radio
transmitter or other system.
- Center Position - Off position.
- INT Position - Keys the boom or oxygen mask microphone on the flight interphone.
High Frequency ( HF ) Switches
- Transmitter Select Switch - When pushed:
- MIC light comes On.
- MIC light for any other transmitter is turned off.
- Selects the respective transmitter for transmission from this crew station.
- Selects the receiver audio on, if not already manually selected on.
- Receiver Light - Comes on when the respective receiver audio is manually selected ON.
- Receiver Volume Control - When pushed, the respective receiver audio turns ON. When rotated, it controls the receiver's volume.
Satellite Communication ( SATCOM ) Switches
The SATCOM switches provide the flight deck with Satellite data communications.
- Transmitter Select Switch - When pushed:
- MIC light comes on.
- MIC light for any other transmitter is turned off.
- Selects the respective transmitter for transmission from this crew station.
- Selects the receiver audio on, if not already manually selected ON.
- Receiver Light - Comes on when the respective receiver audio is manually selected ON.
- Receiver Volume Control - When
pushed, the respective receiver audio turns ON. When rotated, it
controls the receiver's volume.
Speaker Volume Control Switches
Controls the flight deck speaker volume.
- Receiver Light - Comes on when the respective receiver audio is manually selected ON.
- Receiver Volume Control - When pushed, the respective receiver audio turns ON. When rotated, it controls the receiver's volume.
VOR/ADF Receiver Switches
Selects the VOR or ADF receiver to be monitored.
- VOR / ADF Receiver Selector - When pushed:
- VOR L - Left VOR
- VOR R - Right VOR
- ADF L - Left ADF
- ADF R - Right ADF
- Receiver Light - Comes on when the respective receiver audio is manually selected ON.
- Receiver Volume Control - When pushed, the respective receiver audio turns ON. When rotated, it controls the receiver's volume.
Navigation Receiver Filter Selector
Filters VOR, ADF, ILS or MLS audio:
- V ( voice ) - Only voice audio is heard.
- B ( both ) - Both the voice and range audio are heard.
- R ( range ) - Only the range (navigation aid Morse code identifier) audio is heard.
Approach ( APP ) Receiver Switches
Selects the approach to be monitored.
- Receiver Volume Control - When
pushed, the respective receiver audio turns ON. When rotated, it
controls the receiver's volume.
- Receiver Light - Comes on when the respective receiver audio is manually selected ON.

- C - Center ILS
- R - Right ILS
