C/R Stabilizer CutOut Switch
- Normal - Hydraulic pressure is supplied to the trim control module.
- Cutout - Removes hydraulic pressure from the respective trim control module.
Fuel Switch and Fire Warning Lights
- L/R Fuel Switches
- Up ( RUN ) Position - Valves are open allowing fuel to flow from tanks to engine.
- Down ( CUTOFF ) Position - Closes fuel valves from tanks to engine.
- Fire Warning Light ( In Handle Knob ) - Lights when an engine fire is detected or when the FIRE/OVHT TEST switch is pushed.
Throttles
- Controls forward thrust.
- The throttles can only be advanced if the reverse thrust levers are down.
Reverse Thrust Levers
The Reverse Thrust Levers can be raised only when the throttles are in idle. When the Reverse Thrust Levers are raised to the interlock position:
- Autothrottle disengages.
- Auto speedbrakes deploy.
>Alternate Pitch Trim
Primary Pitch Trim control is located on the Control Wheel. Both Alternate Pitch Trim levers must be moved to command trim changes.
These levers move the trim reference airspeed and also move the stabilizer directly. The Alternate Pitch Trim commands have priority over wheel
pitch trim commands in all flight control modes.
Speed Brakes
All 14 spoiler panels function as speedbrakes to increase drag and decrease lift in flight and on the ground. Pulling the Speed Brake Handle down in 3 positions:
- Down (Detent) - All spoiler panels are fully retracted.
- Armed - Spoilers are armed to deploy automatically upon landing.
- Up - Ground and/or flight spoiler panels are extended to the maximum position. (intermediate positions can also be selected.)
Flaps
The airplane has an inboard and an outboard flap on the trailing edge of each wing. Three modes of flap operation are possible:
- Primary - When moved down, allows selection of flap detent positions 1, 5, 15, 20, 25 and 30.
- Secondary - This mode is automatically engaged whenever the primary flap mode fails to move the flaps to the selected position.
- Alternate - Allows direct manual operation of the flaps through the secondary drive electric motors.
