8. Life After Military Got my honorable discharge from the Air Force, so now I figured was the time for me to go back to college. University of Illinois and a degree in Video & Film Production. After 3 years of school I ended up working for Chicago city government for 12 years as a staff photographer. You would think 12 years would count for some seniority . . . but nooo, I was layed off at the end of 1992. Damn near broke my heart! I loved that job.
